Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectroscopy (ICP-OES/MS), ICP Analysis Services
ICP-OES measures the light emitted at element-specific characteristic wavelengths from thermally excited analyte ions . This light emitted is separated and measured in a spectrometer, yielding an intensity measurement that can be converted to an elemental concentration by comparison with calibration standards. ICP-MS (ICP-Mass Spec) measures the masses of the element ions generated by the high temperature argon plasma. The ions created in the plasma are separated by their mass to charge ratios, enabling the identifcation and quantitation of unknown materials. The SDXHPLD system combines the proven ASX‑560 autosampler with a novel vortex mixing dilution accessory. The system dilutes in the same way you do by hand: volume-to-volume dilution, using a highly accurate syringe pump. But it also goes an additional step to vortex mix the resulting dilution prior to sample introduction to ICP and ICP-MS.The SDX employs vortex mixing to promote homogenization of a sample to ensure accurate and precise analysis following dilution. The variety of sample matrices submitted for trace element analysis necessitates the need for mixing. High Temperature Charge Mode Accelerometers
Charge mode output accelerometers from PCB® use piezo-ceramic sensing elements that output an electrostatic charge signal proportional to the applied acceleration. These sensors can operate at extremely high temperatures because they do not contain the built-in signal conditioning electronics that limit the temperature range of ICP® accelerometers.
