Giga-snaP™ 0.75, 0.8, 1.0, and 1.27mm pitch BGA Surface Mount Feet Adapter line of products provide an inexpensive and reliable method for attaching BGA chips to target board. The product line consists of patented female sockets with machined pins epoxy over-molded into an assembly that matches a particular BGA pattern. The epoxy over-molded female BGA socket is soldered to a PCB using standard soldering methods. A corresponding male pin BGA adapter, to which the user attaches their BGA chip, is plugged into the female socket on the board thus interconnecting the chip and the system is ready to go. The SMT adapters have the same solder ball types as the chips they are emulating. These adapters have less than half of the insertion force of competitive adapters, shorter electrical path for highest speed, and can be solder reflowed numerous times. The Drive-In Rain Test Chamber is generally used to conduct whole body testing of assembled vehicles under different rain test procedures to study and estimate their structural degradations and destructions induced by rain/water. The twin shower area with 1.1 million litre & 0.35 million litre volume is enclosed in a shed where arrays of pipes are interconnected to form zones to ensure the uniform spraying as per JSS 55555 test standard. The water gushes through the nozzle at a flow rate of up to 288 cu m/hr and the test chamber water collection system have a central grating with sufficient slope to collect the sprayed water during operation and circulate it back to the water reservoir to ensure close loop circulation.

Solid State Voltage Injector

While it is possible to obtain high quality injection transformers with bandwidths as wide as 1Hz to 5MHz or more, in some cases this is still insufficient for some tests. For example a typical heater control loop might have a bandwidth of less than 1Hz while some linear regulators and opamp circuits can have bandwidths of up to 100MHz or in some cases even higher. For these applications, a solid state injector can provide the necessary bandwidth. A solid state injector can perform at DC, while the upper frequency limit is dictated by the components selected and the printed circuit board material and layout. It is possible to obtain a solid state injector with a working range of DC – 200MHz, though above 50MHz the interconnection between the injector and the circuit being tested can become quite critical. It is essential that ripple from the injector power supply does not dramatically degrade the dynamic range or the signal to noise ratio of the measurement. The resulting plots are often much cleaner when using a solid state injector than with a transformer injector.

The 40-196 is a 10 Channel 5A Fault Insertion Switch, primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive & avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers. It is designed to be able to insert different fault conditions between the test fixture and the equipment under test: Open-Circuit, Short-Circuit between signal pairs, Short-Circuit between signal pairs and user applied fault conditions e.g. Power or GND. Shorting relays on each channel enable UUT signals to be subjected to external user applied fault conditions or to be shorted to the adjacent signal in the same channel. Relays in line with the signal allow open circuit conditions to be simulated on either side or both sides of a channel signal pair. The switching topology of the 40-196 allows channels to be interconnected so that complex fault insertion systems can be constructed.
