AGILE features a broadband spectral output from <400 nm to >2000 nm and pulse repetition rates from 10 kHz to 1 MHz, making it the ideal light source for the majority of fluorescence lifetime applications. Using the Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) technique, fluorescence lifetimes from a few picoseconds to microseconds can be accurately resolved. It is also compatible with Multi-Channel Scaling (MCS) mode for lifetimes up to 10 μs.

The system can check tools whose lengths vary as much as 15 inches from the shortest to longest in the changer. The LDD100 employs a digitally programmable analogue end stage for flexible and accurate current control. Currents of up to 600A with pulse durations of 50ns to 3s are generated with rise and fall times of 70ns (F-version) or 600ns (XL-version) – essentially without overshoot.
