The reduction of test times and costs is a challenge that all innovative test system companies are facing, especially in the areas of IoT and connected devices. To face those challenges NOFFZ has developed the UTP 9011 test station for multi-DUT and multi-standard testing. Based on the NI Wireless Test System the UTP 9011 is capable of handling up to four DUT independently. It allows the parallel test of GNSS, WLAN, Bluetooth and cellular (2G, 3G, 4G). Due to the flexible adapter concept, multiple variants of the devices can be tested at the same time. The shielded adapters provide RF attenuation from 40 to 60dB.

By intelligent linking of different standards and in combination with a UTP 9085 system base a very effective and redundant testing system was created, which is able to simultaneously perform different tasks. It is possible to program the modules on up to 16 individual positions, to calibrate or verify them on a blister roll. The facility allows the fully automated production of a minimum of 500,000 modules per year.

The major project task comprised the development of a tester system for proportional interlock solenoids, which primarily consisted of a rotary table offering six test stations. The tester system had to be designed based on NOFFZ UTP 9085 concept which already comprises protective coating, monitored openings for maintenance and an integrated 19″ rack for measurement and test equipment as well as a central IPC.

Modern driver assistance systems must recognize increasingly complex traffic scenarios and convert them into appropriate vehicle reactions with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and specific algorithms. Imaging radar sensors with a higher spatial resolution, so-called imaging radar sensors, are therefore required. These can better distinguish larger from smaller objects and, due to the larger antenna apertures, also require larger dimensions of the test environment or larger far-field distances. Testing these sensors in the direct far field ( UTP 5065 ) would therefore require very large absorber chambers up to ten meters in size and more.Our efficient test system UTP 5069 offers exactly the right solution:By using CATR technology (Compact Antenna Test Range), 4D, imaging and other radar sensors with large far-field distances are calibrated with high precision in a small footprint. With the extremely low-reflection NOFFZ absorber chamber, the system is very well suited not only for validation, but also for EOL tests.
