Hurricane Series
-
The Gruenberg Hurricane Oven Series utilizes a pair of non-sparking blowers to provide a patent-pending ignition-free heating method. One blower circulates the airflow in the oven while a second blower generates heat using “fan friction.” This heat source is by nature ignition free and it can be independently modulated without affecting the circulation air flow rate. The Hurricane Oven series is ideal for applications involving a wide range of hazardous materials, including flammable solvents and dusts that may be encountered in drying, curing and finishing applications. It is also designed with the capability to be used with programmable ramp and soak controllers.

Explosion Resistant Oven
-
All standard Gruenberg Ovens can be modified to be explosion-resistant. Explosion-resistant ovens incorporate design features that allow the oven to be operated within a volatile atmosphere defined as Class I, Group D, or Class II, Group E, F or G. Ideal for heating and drying processes.

Class A Ovens
-
Gruenberg ovens can be designed as Class A ovens to conform to OSHA, NFPA 86A, Factory Mutual (FM) and Factory Insurance Association (FIA) requirements. Class A ovens are equipped with a high exhaust rate: because the heating elements are an ignition source so a high exhaust rate is needed to dilute the volatile vapors below the “lower explosive limits.” As a result, the heating elements’ kW must be sufficiently increased to compensate for the heat loss caused by the above-normal exhaust rate. In addition, for a Class A oven to be energy efficient, the additional kW required must be carefully calculated according to solvent load and operating temperature requirements.
