High-Temperature and High-PressurepH Electrodes
UltraDeg
Corr Instruments offers a full range of exceptionally high performance, high-temperature and/or high-pressure UltraDeg probes, including pH electrodes, reference electrodes, platinum conductivity probes, and ORP(redox) electrodes, for temperatures up to 650F (343C) and pressures up to 5100 psi (35 MPa). These probes are ideal tools for corrosion monitoring, thermodynamic or electrochemical studies in harsh environments such as steam generators, nuclear power reactors, geothermal systems, deep oil/gas wells, and super critical water systems. Many of these UltraDeg probes are built upon our innovative sealing compound, Queon, which is the only known material in the world for sealing electrical conductors in metal sealing glands or compression feedthroughs that are operable at temperatures between 400F (200C) and 650F (343C).

CMAS Analyzers and Field Monitors
Backed by at least one of the 8 corrosion sensor patents wholly owned by Corr Instruments, our nanoCorr analyzers and field monitors are widely used for online and real-time localized and general corrosion monitoring. These ultra-high precision instruments measure extremely low currents in the pico-ampere levels, which can be translated into a corrosion rate as low as a few nanometers per year, in some applications (PDF). Our analyzers and monitors are based on the patented coupled multielectrode array sensor (CMAS) technology which measures the flow of electrons from corroding electrodes to one or more cathodes.

Coupled Multielectrode Array Sensor (CMAS) Probes
CMAS probes are made from user-specified sensing materials, including carbon steels, stainless steels, and nickel-, aluminum-, and copper-based alloys. They can also be made from customer supplied materials that have the same microstructure/heat treatment as the system component materials to be monitored. The size of the sensing electrode varies from 0.1 to 3 mm (0.004" to 0.12") in diameter, depending on the application. Typical numbers of electrodes in a CMAS probe are 9, 16 or 25 for online corrosion monitoring and vary from 8 to 100 for laboratory corrosion and electrochemical studies.
