Silicon Oscillators
-
Analog Devices silicon oscillators are frequency programmable via pin-strapping, or through the resistor connection or serial interface (SPI or I2C). These solid-state clocks are well-suited for general-purpose usage, such as PGAs, ASICS, microprocessors, or UARTS, and they operate from 1 kHz to 170 MHz. Silicon oscillators are also ideal switching regulator clocks as they provide synchronization and EMI reduction (via spread spectrum).

RF High Power Amplifier Modules
-
Analog Devices MMIC-based GaN and GaAs power amplifiers cover the low hundred MHz frequency range up through and including components in the Ka-band (29 GHz to 31 GHz). Our portfolio also includes GaN-based power amplifier modules with output power exceeding 8 kW. Designed for excellent linearity at high output power, our power amplifiers maintain good heat dissipation and high reliability at elevated temperatures for the wide variety of test, radar, and aerospace and defense applications that they are used in.

6.8 GHz Wideband Synthesizer with Integrated VCO
ADF4356
-
The ADF4356 allows implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. A series of frequency dividers at another frequency output permits operation from 53.125 MHz to 6800 MHz. The ADF4356 has an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency ranging from 3400 MHz to 6800 MHz. In addition, the VCO frequency is connected to divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 circuits that allow the user to generate RF output frequencies as low as 53.125 MHz. For applications that require isolation, the RF output stage can be muted. The mute function is both pin- and software-controllable.

IO-Link
-
The IO-Link® interface simplifies communication to smart sensors and actuators, combining signaling with power-over-cable technology. It has become one of the key devices as industrial automation systems are growing more interconnected and intelligent to accommodate demands for centralized control and optimized production. Analog Devices implements both device PHY and master PHY interfaces (COM1/COM2/COM3). Designing with harsh industrial environments in mind, the master 4-port IO-Link power and communications interface, as well as the IO-Link transceivers featuring Integrated Step-Down Regulators and LDO with ±60V cable interface protection provide the required ruggedness. Optimum EMC performance is achieved with adjustable current limit and slew rate transmitters. Automatic wake-up request (WURQ) generation and an output supply current boosting capability for device startup are also available. Additional components integrate a 300 mA step-down (buck) regulator and a 150 mA LDO to supply all the power required for internal electronics in an connected sensor or actuator.

isoPower
-
Analog Devices isoPower® technology utilizes proprietary iCoupler® chip scale transformers to integrate isolated dc-to-dc converts with data isolation into a single package. This enables designers to implement isolation in designs without the cost, size, power, performance, and reliability constraints found with optocouplers. With more than one billion channels shipped into the field, these magnetically isolated products are a safe, reliable and easy-to-use alternative to optocouplers.

Interface RS-232
-
The RS-232 specification allows for reliable data transmission from one transmitter to one receiver at data rates of up to 20 kbps over relatively short distances (up to 50 feet). On more recent RS-232 transceiver chips, data rates of up to 1 Mbps are achievable over shorter distances (up to 5 feet). The most common applications for RS-232 transceivers are computers and peripherals, mobile phone data cables, and diagnostic data ports.
