Chroma's 17020 system is equipped with multiple independent channels to support dedicated charge / discharge tests, on multiple battery modules / packs, each with discrete test characteristics. The latest programmable solar array simulator power supply 62000H-S Series released by Chroma provide simulation of Voc (open circuit voltage) up to 1800V and Isc (short circuit current) up to 30A. The 62000H-S provides an industry leading power density in a small 3U high package. The solar array simulator is highly stable and has a fast transient response design, which are both advantageous to MPPT performance evaluation on PV inverter devices. The 62000H-S Series have many unique advantages including high speed & precision digitizing measurement circuits with a 100kHz A/D, 25kHz D/A controlled I-V curve and a digital filter mechanism. It can simulate an I-V curve accurately and response the mains ripple effect from the PV inverter. In addition, the built-in EN50530/Sandia SAS I-V model in the standalone unit can easily program the Voc, Isc, Vmp, and Imp parameters for I-V curve simulation, without a PC controller.

The 66205 is the 2nd generation of the 66200 series power meter designed specifically for single channel measurement. Its state of art design is capable of providing highly accurate power measurements to meet the requirements of IEC 62301/EN50564 standards. Functionality improvements of the 66205 increase power measurement capabilities to a wider range of applications. The Smart Range function is one of the most important new features added to the 66205 power meter. Smart Range allows the power integration mode to perform active power measurements with the measurement range in auto mode. Chroma’s proprietary design automatically selects the appropriate range, based on changes in sensed voltage and current, ensures the best accuracy when integrating the measurements over time. The 66205 provides 10 selectable current measurement ranges from 5mA up to 30A. External sensor options A662017~A662020 are available to increase the current measurement range. Six selectable voltage ranges are available up to 600V.

The USB 3.1 specifications has three major features which are 10Gbit/s transmission speed, USB PD (Power Delivery) with support for 100 watt charging power, and the standard Type-C connector/cable that can be inserted with either side. It is expected to meet all kinds of data / video transfer applications. The advent of USB PD may consolidate the specifications of various power converters and the laptop, monitor, printer or Hub that implements USB PD is no longer a simple power-consuming device but able to supply power to other devices. The USB PD DRP (Dual role port) function allows the built-in USB PD module to deliver a maximum of 100 watts of power through the Type-C interface. To make sure the USB PD Type-C output power does not supply invalid voltage or poor power output characteristics with excessive noise that can damage the power consuming device and cause unsuccessful startup, each USB PD power supply or module has to be fully tested during production to ensure the product features meet the design specifications. This ensures high-quality products are provided to the market to gain acceptance.
